Mould-making and Casting for Resin Jewellery (2-in-1)

Regular price $165.00 Sale

Learn mould-making and resin casting techniques in this 2-in-1 workshop!

You will learn to create your very own silicone mould without the need for any machines or power tools, and cast resin into your own mould to make a series of jewellery pendants / charms. You will also have the option of embedding metal flakes and/or glitter in your pendants.

Not only will you cast some beautiful resin pendants to be made into jewellery, you will also get to keep the silicone mould that you have made, which can be used many times!

Participants will select pre-made masters from a set of given shapes and fill them within a round mould box. You will make 1 x silicone mould with about 10-20 cavities for casting, depending on the size of your chosen shapes.

This price does not include the assembly component of the workshop (see below). To book your assembly session, please visit this page.

All participants can enjoy 10% off resin art supplies (except already discounted starter kits or bundled sets) on the day of the workshop.

If you are booking for a group of 5 pax and above, please contact us to get a special rate.

By registering for our workshop(s) you agree to our terms and conditions

Important Note: [Part 2] Post-casting finishing and assembly of the pendants / charms, if required, will have to be done on a separate session after the resin is cured. To book your assembly session, please visit this page.

In part 2 session, we will teach you how to finish your masterpiece with beads / chains / findings etc, using the right tools and methods. All materials will be provided to complete your masterpiece.

This session is optional - you may not require this session if you already know how to assemble your own pieces, of if you have made something that does not require any assembly.

The finishing is very basic for this session - no extensive sanding or polishing. If you want to learn how to finish and sand your pieces to perfection, we recommend taking this resin jewellery workshop.

Workshop duration:

3 - 3.5 hours (depending on pace of attendees).

Participants who have jewellery making experience might take a shorter time to complete their work.

Collection:

It takes 1 day for resin to cure. This means that you will not be able to bring home your completed artwork on the spot. You will need to pick up your artwork from our studio another day during store opening hours. It is recommended that you collect your artwork within a week as we will not be liable for any damages to your artwork due to prolonged storage. Due to limited space in our studio, artworks not collected within 1 month will be discarded / recycled.

Alternatively, you may have your artwork couriered to a local address for a small fee.

Safety & disclaimer:

We use certified non-toxic, non-hazardous resin in our workshop. However, if you are known to be allergic to resin of any form, we do not recommend you to join the workshop. Participants must follow our safety instructions to avoid any harm. We will not be liable for any damages or allergic reactions caused during the workshop.

Cancellation & refund policy:

We do not allow cancellations or rescheduling once your slot has been booked on our website. Please make sure that you can absolutely make it for the workshop slot before you proceed to book. No refunds will be given if you do not turn up for the workshop. However, you may get a friend to take your place if you are unable to make it.

Minimum class size:

In the unforeseen event of low sign ups, we reserve the right to cancel the class. For class cancellations, we will contact you at least 1 day before your workshop date and you will be fully refunded within 1-3 working days.
