Dear customers, due to shortages in packaging supplies during this pandemic, please take note that we might substitute the packaging with something similar, i.e. it might not be exactly same as the one pictured here. However, rest assured that the amount of material will not be affected. Thank you for your kind understanding.

Students and customers always ask us this same question, "How do you polish resin without the need for buffing machines or power tools?"

We have 2 amazing solutions for you, and which solution you should go for depends on the original appearance of your resin piece and the final effect that you are trying to achieve.

1) Manual polishing by hand:

You can manually polish your resin piece using this resin polishing kit which comes with 30ml resin polishing compound and a micro-fiber polishing cloth.

This method works best to restore shine in dull and faded resin surfaces, such as resin casts that appear dull as a result of an overused mould. However, please take note that it will not result in a 'wet', high gloss appearance.

This method will not work for deeply scratched pieces. If your pieces are deeply scratched, we recommend using jewellery-grade sandpaper to remove the scratches, prior to polishing your piece.

You may consider getting our resin jewellery finishing tool kit at a special price, which includes this resin polishing kit, hand drillmini sanding disc pad set, and other finishing tools.

2) Coat your resin piece with another layer or resin, or glaze:

If you wish to achieve a high gloss, 'wet' appearance, we recommend coating your piece with another layer of resin. We recommend using either Non-Toxic 2-in-1™ or ArtCoat.

You can also choose to glaze it with Diamond Glaze, but take note however, that the effect will still not be as 3-dimensional, glossy or even as compared to using epoxy resin.
