Seal and protect your SmileStone and Jesmonite artworks from water, food stains and bacteria with our non-toxic, 100% natural beeswax sealer. This is food grade so it is perfect for sealing coasters.

Sealing is important as it not only brings out the colour of your Jesmonite piece, but also waterproofs the surface meant for contact with water or food. This natural beeswax can also be used to seal wood, metal, concrete and granite surfaces.

Apply a thin layer of the paste to your Jesmonite piece with a clean cloth. Allow the beeswax to penetrate the pores, then buff in a circular motion until the whole piece is sealed.

Many sealers in the market are solvent-based and contain harsh chemicals. Our beeswax sealer has no toxic chemicals or additives.

As this is a 100% natural sealer, you may need to reapply it regularly once the sealer wears off. If you are looking for a more permanent sealer, or one with a satin finish, you may consider our SmileStone acrylic sealer (however take note that the acrylic sealer is not food-safe).

Made in USA using pure natural beeswax and food grade mineral oil. Sold by volume in a 10ml jar.

What's the difference between the SmileStone acrylic sealer and beeswax sealer? Which one should I use to seal my SmileStone and Jesmonite artworks?

The SmileStone acrylic sealer is not food-safe, so it should not be used for items that will have direct or indirect contact with food. The beeswax sealer is 100% natural and safe for food contact.

The finishing is also another main difference between the two. The SmileStone acrylic sealer has a satin finish (semi-gloss, or a little more glossy than matt), which gives the artwork a somewhat plastic-like finish. On the other hand, the beeswax sealer is almost invisible, and gives the artwork a very smooth and almost buttery-like finish.

Lastly, once applied in multiple coats, the SmileStone acrylic sealer can last for many years. It may only require a new coat after several years. Whereas the beeswax sealer is 100% natural, so you may need to reapply it regularly once the sealer wears off.
