Jesmonite AC100 is a water-based composite material used to make decorative moulded objects. It is safe to use and contains no solvents or VOC’s.
Jesmonite liquid and powder are best mixed with our high-shear mixing blade (fixed onto a hand drill). Mixing Jesmonite with a blade will help to reduce the formation of air bubbles and ensure that the mix is smooth and free from lumps.
This has a short working time of 3 to 5 minutes.
You may extend your working time by adding a small amount of Jesmonite retarder (for AC100) to the mixture.
Colour your Jesmonite with Jesmonite pigments, or with other compatible powder pigments.
We recommend sealing and waterproofing your Jesmonite artworks with our non-toxic food grade beeswax sealer, especially if you are planning to use them as coasters. You may get our thick silicone moulds specially designed for casting Jesmonite coasters. You can also seal your artworks with SmileStone acrylic sealer.
If you are planning to make terrazzo patterns, you will need to get our set of coarse and fine sandpaper.
For a smaller size kit, check out the Jesmonite AC100 Starter Kit.
Please take note that you will need a weighing scale to accurately measure the amount of Jesmonite you need to use, which is not included in the kit.
Please refer to this user guide for tips on working with AC100.
Watch our live demo video (shown below) or on Resin Play's IGTV channel to learn how you can use this material to create terrazzo patterns to make beautiful terrazzo coasters and jewellery.
Note: The coasters and pendants shown in the photos are made by us using Jesmonite AC100. They are for illustration purposes and not included in the kit.
